Delightful Inspiration Challenge

Here is my entry into this weeks challenge at Delightful Inspiration. I was unable to load this yesterday due to blogger not working so I'm hoping I am not too late.

For my card I used the free image provided, cardstock and dp is Stampin Up. I printed the image onto watercolor paper and used my inkpads to do the watercolouring (need more practice with this). The flowers were made from punches with rhinestones added to the centre. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart Punch.

Blog Candy

I recently found this blog and Joe-Anne is offering some Elizabeth Bell Digi Images to one lucky person (hope it's me). You can find the information on how to enter here JoJo's Scraps. While you are over there take a look at her amazing cards she does very nice work.

I have been missing for a while, we were away on vacation for 4 weeks and since getting back haven't had much time to make and post cards but I should have a few in the next few days.

Delightful Inspiration Challenge

Here is my entry into this week's Delightful Inspiration Challenge. Cardstock is from Stampin Up, background designer paper is a digi download, the tree is paper pieced and the bird is coloured with copics. Unfortunately the colours in the photo didn't turn out very good, it is much brighter in real life. I must confess I'm not the best person with the camera and lately the light hasn't been very good around here.

Dreaming of Summer

Today my card is for entry into Karens Doodles Challenge where the challenge is Animal Friends and Pattie's Creations Challenge where the challenge is Pets. The image is coloured with copics, the cardstock is Stampin Up, the background paper and sentiment is from a free download from scrapgirls.

This image really appealed to me as we have so much snow outside that I think it is going to be the end of April before we see our lawn. I can't wait to be basking in the sun with a drink in hand.

Anniversary Card

Second post of the day.

I was lucky enough to have time today to make a few cards. This one is my entry into the Karen's Doodles Challenge, the image is one that I won last week. The challenge this week is a theme and colour challenge; the theme is 'Love' and the colours are red, pink and white. As I don't need any more valentine's cards I made this one into an anniversary card. The cardstock is from stampin up; the pink background cardstock is embossed with the cuttlebug hearts folder although it is difficult to see in the picture (due to taking pictures at night). The ribbon and red rhinestones are from my stash and the punches I used are all from stampin up.

I like using digi images but the biggest problem I have is finding the right size. Most of the time they seem to fill up the whole card and then you can't see the background papers. Practice makes perfect so I'll keep on trying.

Valentine's Day Card

Today I used a free image from Designed 2 Delight. On the first Friday of each month everyone get's a freebie and if you participate in the challenge you will receive a new image for next week. The image I used was given out only to people who participated in last weeks challenge but you can go here to get this week's freebie if you wish to participate.

For my card I used stampin up cardstock real red, black and whisper white. The designer paper is a freebie I got off the internet but cannot remember where, it has heart images but they are difficult to see in the picture. The card is not one of my favourites but oh well you can't like them all.

I am having fun entering the challenges and I am getting an accumulation of cards. I will be back later to show you more.

I am entering this card into two challenges. The image I used is the progressive freebie from Designed 2 Delight. The design paper is digital from Nitwits and the cardstock is from Stampin Up.

I was lucky enough to win two digital images from Karen's Doodles on my entry into their challenge.

Bugaboo Challenge

Here is my entry into this week's Bugaboo Challenge which is to create an ATC. ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards and this is the first one I have ever made. They measure 3 1/2 x 2 1/2. I enjoyed making it but I'm not sure what I will do with it. I may use it on a card. I noticed from Paul's blog here that in the UK there is an active group that trades. Not sure if there is anything like this in the States or Canada, might be fun to participate.

The image I used today is one I am going to be using on a friends 50th birthday card. I think these Stella images are so neat.

ABC Christmas Challenge

I thought I would try to get a head start on my Christmas Cards this year, hence my submission to the ABC Christmas Challenge here. This challenge is "B" for Black and White. You must use only black and white to make your card but some colour can be used on the image. Dustin Pike is sponsoring the challenge and gave a freebie to use if you wish. I chose to use the freebie. It doesn't show up very well in the picture but I used dazzling diamonds on the image and also around the words "Winter Wonderland".

Black and white is definitely not normal for me on my Christmas Cards but I am pleased with the result.

Entry for Karen's Doodles Challenge

I am late with this challenge but hopefully I will make it before the deadline. My card today uses an image from Karen at Karens Doodles and I am entering into the challenge here. The challenge is "Buttons Galore" and you must use a digital image from Karens Doodles. My cardstock and dsp is all from stampin up and I cut out buttons with a sizzix die purchased from stampin up. This way it won't make it too bulky to mail. I apologize for the colours on my picture but the light wasn't very good when I took it a few minutes ago.

I hope you enjoy looking at my card.

Wow another card

I can't believe I have another card to show. This card is for entry into the Delightful Inspiration challenge. This is a progressive challenge where if you enter one week then Faith sends you a digi image to enter into the following week. The image was coloured with copics and I used cardstock and dsp from my stash.

Catch the Bug Challenge - Winter Whites

My card today is for entry into the Catch the Bug Challenge. I used one of the bugaboo digi images and coloured it with copics (I still have a lot to learn about colouring with copics). All cardstock is Stampin Up. Sorry for the poor picture, the snowflakes in the top right corner are a little difficult to see white on white. Here is a close up.

Entering 2 challenges

I am entering two challenges with this card, the first is the Delightful Inspiration Challenge, the image used on this card can be found at Designed2Delight Digital stamps, and the second is the Sweet Stop Challenge which was a sketch. For my card I used stampin up card stock pink pirouette and riding hood red. The Designer paper was from Nitwits, and the image was coloured with a combination of chalk and copic markers and dazzling diamonds around the edge of the frosting.
