Butterfly Gala Card:

Stampin Up Butterfly Gala Card from crafterbc.blogspot.com

Hi, today is my first time participating in the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.

Eva and I have created cards using this sketch:

The card I created used the Butterfly Gala Bundle.  I chose to use this bundle again as I am waiting for my order of new Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration Brochure items.  Can't wait!

Below is how I created my Butterfly Gala Card:
  • Daffodil Delight cardstock cut at 8½ x 5½ and scored at 4¼.
  • Gorgeous Grape cardstock cut at 4 x 5¼ and adhered to the card front.
  • Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper cut at 3¾ x 5 and adhered to the Gorgeous Grape cardstock layer.
  • On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from Varied Vases and die cut with one of the Layering Circle Dies.
  • From Gorgeous Grape cardstock die cut a scalloped circle from the Layering Circle Dies and adhere the Whisper White sentiment circle to this.
  • Using Highland Heather Cardstock cut a strip ¾" x 3¾ and snip the one end to form a banner.
  • From the Botanical Designer Series Paper cut a strip ¾" x 3¼  and snip the one end to form a banner.
  • Stamp the Butterfly Stamp using Memento Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and punch out with the Butterfly Punch.  Colour both the large and small butterflies using Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather light and dark blends.
  • Attach the large butterfly to the top of the sentiment circle, add some Gingham Gala Self Adhesive Sequins in Highland Heather and 4 Rhinestones down the centre of the butterfly.
  • Attach both banners on the card using snail and then attach the sentiment circle using dimensionals.

Here is a picture of the inside of my Butterfly Gala Card.  I added the small butterfly that was punched out at the same time as the larger butterfly and the sentiment also came from the Varied Vases Stamp set.
